Krynica Vitamin SA, one of the largest Polish producers of non-alcoholic and low-alcohol beverages and disinfectants, plans to spend up to PLN 38 million on investments in 2021. The most important investments include the reconstruction of production lines in the plant in the East of Poland (Podlasie) and the expansion of the chemical and cosmetic parts in central Poland (Niechcice). In the long term, the completed investments will increase production capacity, improve quality and expand the product portfolio of Krynica Vitamin.
In 2020, the outlays amounted to PLN 16 million. The current plans mean a great financial effort, but the company has a solid foundation and will try to obtain some external financing.
“At the turn of the second and third quarter, we will be building a copacking hall with an area of 3,000 sq m. sq m in the production plant in Dziadkowskie-Folwark, Podlasie. The cost of the investment is approx. PLN 3-4 million. As we operate comprehensively and provide ready-made solutions to stores, retail chains expect us to pack drinks on a pallet in several flavours in one shrink. Most of these operations today require manual copacking,” Piotr Czachorowski, president of the board, said.
Krynica Vitamin in 2020 earned six times more than in the previous year. The estimated net profit for 2020 amounted to PLN 56.6 million, compared to PLN 7.4 million in 2019 (an increase of 655 percent y/y). Throughout 2020, Krynica Vitamin generated PLN 446 million in sales revenues (an increase of 50 percent y/y), which was the highest result in the history of the company.
